First comes first: Even tough I shouldn´t comment on other comments, it seems that a few of them didn´t watch more than 2 Episodes. YES, he is OP (Just read the LN), his attitude was like that even before his death, so why change? It´s better that way. Than, getting to the first, big Crisis: He needed time to defeat his opponent. Second Crisis: He needed help because he wasn´t strong enough, so were is your so called "OP" element in that one? And we know, he isn´t able to beat Milim, that will take A LOT of time until he IS able to. So there are at least 2 Characters which were more OP than Rimuru, he only looks strong because of the weaklings around him. And btw.: This is FICITION, Guys. Not the Real world. The fact of evolving after giving someone a Name is a great Idea. God, i hate it, when people looks 3 or 4 Episodes and try to let other think that they know everything they need.
Back to the Topic:
I´m very fond if the "Isekai Genre" because first: There aren´t many REAL Isekai Titles and second: revieving into another world sounds absolutely GLORIOUS. In this case, it might be a little bit oscure because of the fact that he revived as a slime. But the fact that you can´t bleed, can´t feeld pain and eat everything to learn about it or getting new Skills... it really Sounds Amazing. In fact, that´s the first Anime that made me buy the Manga-Version. Also: There aren´t many Animes with OP Characters like One Punch Man, so even tough Rimuru isn´t really OP but because of his, more or less, weaker companions, he looks like it. The fact that they stay by his side after evolving is something natural: eat or be eaten, literally. Monsters are simple: One joins one's patron, or even the "mightiest" in the forrest. In fact, if someone is able to get me stronger this instant like Rimuru only by evolving through giving other monsters a Name, i would stay by his side, too. Normal Logic, nothing more, nothing less. "Repaying the favor". It seems that even Monsters in Animes are more civilized than humans in the real world... :D The first Season is able to Impress, even with the Sound, i liked that sound of explosions and the Art of the most attacks. Even tough we were at the beginning of the Manga/LN/WN in this Anime, the Story was very good. I can REALLY recommend this Anime, but only if you watch it COMPLETELY and Understand it... not like a few others which seems to not Understand it :)
