STORY - 6
I thought the story was nothing to write home about; just fairly typical of shounen anime. I wasn't particularly invested in the characters and therefore their cause wasn't as compelling as it possibly would have been, but I became even more disinterested due to what seemed like a lack of consequences. Any actual consequences seemed to be undone very easily for no real reason and this made the show lose its edge for me.
ART - 9
Very clean and crisp, beautiful landscapes and great animation in fights. Some unique character designs and cool attack designs in the show.
SOUND - 8
I liked the OPs and EDs and the OST sounded good but was not particularly memorable. Good voice acting too.
CHARACTER - 7
This was a bit of a problem for me; Ban was the only character I really liked. I thought he was the best written character with some great conflicts and a fairly good, developed backstory which was further developed in the second season. I didn't particularly care about any of the other characters that much - Meliodas was cool but he seemed a bit one dimensional and all I could say about his personaility is that he's very nice and also very OP. Not much to say about the other characters.
ENJOYMENT - 7
Like I said it's easy to watch, fairly enjoyable but overall not memorable. I got kind of bored as it went on and was just watching the episodes in order to finish the season so I could get to season 2 which I was told was better.
OVERALL - 7
I wouldn't say I regret watching it, but I certainly wouldn't watch it again and would not recommend watching it unless you have watched everything else, there are plenty of better alternatives IMO.
