On it's start you may expect an interesting story in Dark Fantasy setting, but then it turns to be a typical shounen with all that unrealistic "power levels" like in some japanese RPG.
That's why I can't stand "The 7 Deadly Sins", "Overlord", "Goblin Slayer", "SAO" and so on, because of their unrealism and a lack of solid logic in plot. Don't think that "Claymore" is an exception.
It has a lot of similiarities with "Berserk" (Middle Ages setting, demons and demon hunters with big swords, eerie atmosphere), but don't expect the same interesting, logical and dark story. It's just another shounen, maybe a bit darker than a typical one.
