I love this anime, more so than I can really properly type in a review. The TL:DR is that this series brings a smile to my face in the same way few anime have. It gives me genuine hope for humanity and what we can accomplish by working together as one. Rimuru earns every one of his followers not by sheer power alone, but by showing compassion towards those whom others wouldn't. He's powerful with magic sure, but he's nowhere near the strongest thing this world has to offer.

Honestly this style of character and feel is very foreign in anime. It makes me genuinely giddy seeing the different races getting along and past enemies making reparations and becoming friends. I still love dark and fast paced anime, but this take on Isekai is just so refreshing.

I'll end by saying I know this show isn't for everyone. Its a slower paced show and Rimuru doesn't seem to have a clear goal, at least at the start. But I want everyone to at least give it a shot if it entices you. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
