The anime Bunny Girl Senpai may not be as absurd as it sounds, but it definitely deserves the watch.

I'll admit that what brought me to watch this anime was the initial hype it received, and watching the first few episodes i found it quite cheesy because for one, I'm a physics major so seeing all these quantum concepts thrown around definitely made me laugh at how cheesy the whole show was.

Let me tell you watching these physics concepts be used to describe the situations of the characters, well let me just say that I need to have a word with the person behind all this to explain that superposition doesn't work that way and a whole lotta other stuff. But after i got over them butchering my favorite subject i really got to appreciate the anime

Story wise there isn't that much to say about it, I mean any person that watches anime can predict what will happen in the next 10 minutes. But what really got me was the attention to detail the authors gave to the story. Sure you can tell how its gonna turn out, but the way they executed it was top notch, enough to bring tears to my eyes. The way each character interacts with the MC felt so refreshing and real, in a way it deviates from the typical character tropes in anime. And not to mention the banter, it felt so realistic, something real friends would argue about.

On top that, each character is dynamic and was well fleshed out. Props to the producer for managing each character correctly despite the 13 episode limit. Each character had enough screen time to properly engage with the audience and make them relate to the situation. Perhaps what I liked about the anime was that, even though the base premise of it revolved around the absurdity of the situations, at the core of those situations were all problems every adolescent can relate to. It explores these problems by exaggerating them, using hyperboles to better explain how the character feels towards each problem. It reaches out to the audience and gives them something to relate to.

The sound and music of the anime was the icing on the cake. The upbeat tunes and sunny melodies give life to the show, while the soft piano and slow pangs make each problem all the more heart wrenching and each resolution all the more satisfying. It gives you a nice down-to-earth feeling of youth and overall makes each scene more vibrant and more immersive.

Its that type of anime that gives you a warm fuzzy feeling after you watch it, and well, I for one can't wait to go back to school and live out the rest of my youth.
