I don't mean that it's crappy, but it stinks to high heaven with the gilded layer of quality of just another harem anime with a pretty bow wrapped around it.
I had high hopes for this show, assuming that it would be another Haruhi or Toradora, but by the time a second girl started confessing her love to the bland, loner protagonist I knew it was time to smash that abort button.
The characters in the first few episodes seemed lovable, and I had high expectations for the protagonist after his confession of love that this would be a romantic drama, but as the 4th or so episode progressed, it became obvious that with this new character introduction that this would be the formula "Bunny Girl" would stick with for the remainder of its episodes, introduce a new girl, a new supernatural/pseudoscience phenomenon, add that girl to the boy's harem after his chivalry or apathy or whatever saves her, rinse and repeat.
Another point that makes me think this show is full of crap is the long-winded explanations with the smart girl of the cast, when he gets into trouble with whatever forces are cockblocking him, she explains to the protagonist in a dialogue of how his current situation is much like a pseudo-scientific theory such as schrodinger's cat for example, these hyperboles can make anyone feel this anime is treading new ground with how intelligent the writing is, when in reality it seems very pretentious and just a way to add beautiful decorations on an already unhealthy cake.
Anime like this is afraid to take risks, and I dropped it because I've seen my fair share of crappy harems, and just because it's animated well and has an interesting premise doesn't change the fact that's its just another show the public will digest and move on.
