Well... to put it simply: I was expecting maybe a little too much for a BL. I expected plot (lmao) and got... just sex.
Which would've been okay with me, if only I liked the characters (I didn't, they felt extremely shallow. Their personalities can be summarised into "being a seme" and "being a uke". that's pretty much it). If only this wasn't just a mediocre yaoi manga with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
Oh and there's kind of a non-con/dub-con vibe to it. Yes, they have sex just because of their experiment, so <i>teeeeechnically</i> it's consensual. But the way that one of them invades the space of the other one, almost like he's FORCING him to like his advances, makes me really uncomfortable. I know that that's kind of a "BL Modus Operandi", but I just can't get behind that.
So, long story short: I came for the shits and giggles, but got no giggles and just plain old shit. If most yaoi manga are like that, I don't think I'll be venturing into them again any time soon.
