If you've seen the first season of this (which you should've if you're reading reviews for this season), then you'd better get ready for some of the best Shokugekis of the series. I've been comparing this series to Yuri!!! on Ice and Bleach a lot because it has a lot of the same competition/battle feels that put you on the edge of your seat.
This season does feature the inclusion of a new character that's kind of out of left field, so that may throw you off a bit because he hadn't been seen in the series at all before, but don't let it deter you from the rest of this season's story because it's amazing.
This anime doesn't relent when it comes to amazing characters and showdowns. What's better is the seasons blend together perfectly so it feels like no time has passed in between each one. You should definitely keep supporting this anime if you loved the first season.
