Preliminary (11/12 eps)
SOME SPOILERS ARE MENTIONED

If you love gory scenes, an annoying female character, and a crap version of the DEATH NOTE, then this anime would be a suggestion. Characters react how other people would, but more dramatic. A guy is frustrated that no one believes him and desperately tries to save them. Of course, there are people who are in denial and tries to brush him off as crazy. Then all hell goes down; gory scenes, screaming, crying. So the first FEW episodes were fine in my opinion.

My only complaint is the character Natsuko Honda. The anime has a main villain - The King's Game, but the anime adds on another villain Natsuko, which is completely unnecessary. Her personality in the beginning was bright, and naturally, she should have been scared. But then she becomes one of the main villains, which is one of the reasons why this anime has problems. For a 12 episode anime, the story should be simple, one villain - The King's Game and one protagonist - Nnobuaki kanazawa - where the protagonist is focused on defeating one villain.

Rather than wanting her to die out of justice, I want her removed from the anime. I wouldn't mind another villain if he/she died when she should have. But the anime for some reason keeps her alive cause of some discovery, which makes it to be the cause of the Game and it doesn't make sense. Although there are some problems with the anime, the main problem with the anime is keeping that girl.

Also, in my opinion, this anime focuses too much on trying to create emotion between some of the characters. This anime should focus on gore and violence if it wants to make it a horror anime, but it adds in some sympathetic scenes which disrupts the whole feel of the anime. Instead of shifting the moods, the anime should have just went along with its gory rampage while giving more scenes where the main character actually tried to find a way to defeat the King's Game. I'm confused what this anime wants its viewers to view the anime as - is it a combination of horror and triller, or is it a mixture of romance, thriller, horror, psychological, supernatural? There are shifts in focus and I personally believe that it would be a better anime if it focused on the horror aspect or have it as it is and extend the episodes to give some background scenes to actually put some feel into the deaths of the characters.

Honestly the only character I enjoyed was Iwamura Rie cause she stayed cool and didn't wimp out and actually tried beat the King's Game through her skill. I enjoy characters that aren't wusses and do something cool. Sadly, her potential was replaced by this guy that keeps crying and crying. Now, there's nothing wrong with that, but the scenes are a bit redundant. Because I don't really like having an emotional character in a horror anime, I'd rather just look at the anime from the viewpoint of the Iwamura Rie.
