Mob Psycho 100 is a full on hypnosis punch to the face. It mesmerizes you with its transformative artwork, gets you invested with its deep cast and then it pours some salt on your wounds with well timed humor.

The artwork is weird but slick, immersive yet jarring and at times it is absolutely flat out breathtaking!

Reigen, Mob, Dimple, Ritsu and Hanza are a cast of complex and compelling characters. Each one could stand on their own, but together, they bring the show to life with their unique personalities. The balance between each member's screen time, fight time and development is well handled for a show that only has 12 episodes.

Jealousy, brotherhood, friendship, cowardice, ego, independence and so many more topics are introduced throughout the show's run but I simply cannot forget the most important topic covered -- BANISHING SALT PUNCH! The story's humor is well woven into the heart and soul of the show. It takes a moment that might become too sappy or preachy and turns it into comedic gold. It also reminds you that sometimes you have to laugh a little... even during the most difficult situations you'll have to experience.

Don't take all of life's events so seriously or else you'll have to get an Anti-Esper Dropkick to the left testicle.

With all of that said, two evil spirits caused this show to get a 9 instead of a 10. The first spirit being known as Not-a-memorable-soundtrack-sama. Most will definitely disagree with me here, but I felt as if Mob lacked an essential theme or a track that said, "Oh yeah, get your salt out!".

The other being that so much is introduced into the second half of the show; therefore the ending, while satisfying, does feel ever so slightly rushed. There were so many great characters, but it was difficult to experience closure on such short notice.

In summary, go watch it and put some Himalayan salt on your popcorn!
