The anime follows the Otonashi in the afterlife with amnesia, where he meets the 'Battlefront". Follows him and his friends as they try to find out answers but mostly retaliate against there unfair lives.
The ONLY problem with this anime would be how short it is and how few answers there are, but I honestly I think that's part of the charm, not everything can/or is going to be answered. Although the obvious pothole did bother me but I easily got over it to enjoy the story as a whole.
Overall I highly recommend watching this anime (and if you like the anime pick up the manga, which starts before the anime)
The ending was bittersweet and left me wanting more..although I couldn't think of a more fitting ending.
