High School DxD has been one of my favorite animes ever since I completed it. The plot summary first got me intrigued and it rarely disappointed me; it'll be easier just to read the summary rather than me re-typing it here. The magic powers shown are always cool to watch. They don't feel like a copy and paste from another source. Each main character has their own ability too so you're off put by duplicate abilities. Some of the beginning episodes could be a little better and don't seem completely necessary, but they were still fun to watch.

I've always been satisfied by the cast of characters. It never felt like someone was just there for no reason. They're good at team work. Even though Issei is a big pervert, he doesn't give up easily and he wants to protect and serve Rias well. Everyone else seems to share his determination, but it's more surprising that a huge pervert has that quality. Koneko is my favorite character from the show. Just like with the story, if you're interested, watch it and find out more character information for yourself; there's no point in giving everything away in the review.

The ecchi is amazing too. I didn't watch it for that aspect, but a lot of is there for those who want it. It's not accidental stuff like in so many other harems either. Despite how much ecchi is shown, I feel that there's a huge amount of story plot to match it. I'd say story and ecchi are about 50/50, but you probably get that feeling until you watch all three seasons like I have.

As always, the decision to watch this or pass it up is on you. If anything I brought up makes you want to watch it, enjoy the ride.
