Story: The anime begins more or less as most sports anime does but due to it being something completely knew it also gives us a story we almost couldnt expect. That the little player is going to play with the big boys is probably something one can look upon as something expected of these types of anime i mean its not the first time its been done but the way they do it is on a completely new version if one might call it that. While some other anime have similarities this sticks to what it wants to show and that is a team of old rise up again and take back the highest branch that they belong to.
Art wise this anime has something rarely seen in anime i feel. Its hard to explain since im not good with explaining these kinds of things but as a character shots his decisive shot or does a great plays the creator of this anime has made the animation look none other than awesome. Its like if you feel its something out of this world but its just a well shot spike or something like it.
Sound: Im going to get someone who doesnt like this but for me the soundtrack of this anime is priceless i want to love it more and more and listen to it all day long since it gives such a good feeling through your entire body as you listen to it. It gives me the chills when the music fuses with the actions of whats happening in the anime and it makes me want to listen to it awaiting the next time that soundtrack will be played in the anime.
The characters are well made in my opinion though i do see similarities with the kuroko no basket ones i do see the great original parts of how each character feels like its their own person. The main character isnt verysmart but they make him become an idiot that you want to like not that kind of idiot that you ask god why they even made him the main character. And the rivals are something unique i honestly found myself liking many of the rivals as much or more than i liked the main ones.
There isnt much i didnt like with this anime honestly which is why im not really going to nitpick to try and find something.
eventhough this is not a old anime i have rewatched it twice after the first time i watched it i love listening to the music and sometimes i just want to see that one moment that i always remember from it. I hope those who read this will too because this is a great piece of work in the sports anime section. So while i was going to give this a 9/10 as i started writing this more i decided to give this a 10/10 because it just deserves it in so many ways.
