Sooo much potential, people, really. My opinion in that case is personal and not 100% objective, because we aren't in front of a bad story, we are in front of a story not well told. I will not say anything about the ending, but more we approach to the final more all became...confused.
Regardless that few negative point the story remain rather enjoyable.
Art: 8
Wow. Ok, there is "moe" here and there, but the style and the animation of Kyoukai no Kanata is really good! Nice colors, nice movement and everything blend in pretty well; it's a party for the eyes!
Sound: 7
Opening and ending aren't so memorable, like the ost, but they are more than enough to strike the target. Great work of Risa Taneda, the voice of one of the main characters.
Character: 6
They have tried. Or at least i hope they have. The character design is good (but it stand in the art rating) but about their stories...mh they are lacking. What does it mean? Well, i think they have tried to give profundity to something that doesn't deserve, or simply doesn't have, it.
They are stereotype, and I'm ok with it, nothing bad, they work, and it's the reason why they reach a 6, even something more, but not the 7.
Enjoyment: 8
Yeah! Another high rating in the enjoyment, maybe more than the series deserve, but i really like Kyoukai no Kanata, it was a nice experiment for the Kyoto Animation, and the result is something that can really entertain!
Overall: 7
It wasn't good enough for awake real, deep emotions, but it was beautiful to watch, it worth the effort. Suggested for who want to see something light that can catch the eye and don't stress the brain in any way!
