No spoilers.
A very predictable anime but it is still original. An anime which indeed asks a lot of questions about what is humanity, what is life, when is it okay to kill or not, who is the real enemy?
For me the anime was somewhat average especially if one have seen monster and Berserk the original which both takes on those questions and many more. But Kiseijuu/Parasyte was indeed very entertaining with its action, drama, gore and quite memorable absurd funny moments and even though it is quite similar to Tokyo Ghoul, I think at least it did everything right where Tokyo Ghoul did wrongly and failed.

All the rainbow faeces of the Unicorn - the good things
- Quite lovely that this anime didn´t keep the 12 episodes format, it didn´t feel rushed at all!
- Great absurd memorable moments both the parasite design, gore and the parasite human interaction.
- Not an original plot line but still quite entertaining and especially when it didn´t try to put on a big world plot but it kept it more small and therefore more "authentic" and realistic, and not over the top.
- For me I loved the art, it was simply, still pretty and serious but where its more plainness highlighted the parasite fight moments!
- I love gore, and no this is not a horror! or it is a very softcore horror, a splatter horror :)
- It does indeed do a great job of balancing the more action and drama, the less serious elements, with the philosophical perspective. Therefore it makes an interesting anime which isn´t too heavy so you can more relax while watching it.

All the hurtful.... cringe! - The cons
- This is not really a critique because I watched this one for the purpose of it being more relaxed and average, but if it should have had a chance of becoming a 10 in my book, then it shouldn´t have been so predictable, better real horror elements and being more heavy on the philosophical part. But that is just my taste ^^
- Some might criticize the art style for being too boring.
- The opening and ending were memorable but not that great and the soundtrack wasn´t that noticeable.
- The characters are archetypes especially the side characters, sometimes they do illogical things (something weirdly of their personality), don´t think too much about it. But I loved the interactions between Shinichi and Migi!

So yeah I will definitely recommend this anime especially for it being a good all around anime and an anime with a serious tone to it. :) (and not relying on ecchi, classic anime comedy or lollies)
