This anime was a trip. I just got done re-watching it, and now I fully understand what Sphinx was trying to tell us. And it's absolutely beautiful.

The story, to be vague, was about two "terrorists" who try to send a message to the world with bombs. That might seem a bit too far, but it has a deeper meaning that is truly amazing. This anime shows exactly what the world has come to. We're so connected with our cell phones and social media that the only way to get our attention is through acts of terrorism, or just plain violence. The way that 12 and 9 make themselves known is ingenious and I truly commend them.

Art and Sound are both amazing. This is one of the first anime that has a really good OST lineup. As well as the visuals.

The characters, without going too in-depth, are very well done. 12 and 9 have very unique backstories and the way they show it is genius. Lisa, who happens to be a high-school dropout, gets bullied while at school, and has an abusive mom. But in the end, she finds her way, and definately has a huge impact on the entire show. Shibazaki, as well as all the other detectives are very well written. While their backstories may be lacking, I still enjoyed watching them.

There's a unique blend of Mystery/Comedy/Psychological/and Thriller, this one is a great watch. And I highly recommend this one, and be warned, the ending is a twist.
