god eater is a very enjoyable show, if you like post-apocalyptic mankind against monster type shows. the pace is fair, the art is great, and the show overall is quite good.

though many argue it's "resemblance" to attack on titan, god eater really sets itself apart by combining militaristic and scifi elements into a show that keeps you clicking "play next episode."

my biggest complaint is the stupid character designs that looks like characters are literally right out of kingdom hearts (kota) or some rave club dancer. this show does has it's fair amount of fan service and ill fitting costumes, but the show is mostly about mankind's struggle against extinction. the weapons as well are far fetched, but in the way guts' sword is in berserk. they're over the top. it's the future, and they're fighting giant monsters. and they look bad ass doing so.

i really appreciate that the show explains how the phenomenon of the coming of the arigami, and thus showing where mankind came from to where it has ended up, as well as to show a glimmer as to where it will go. the longer you watch the show, the more you see about how, or maybe why arigami came to be. they leave enough room for speculation, as well as give an idea for the mentalities of the remaining pieces of humanity.

the show also spends a fair amount of time developing each of the main characters. many times it's through single episodes, but the team is developed over time as they are shown from being weary working together, to fighting in unison. it develops the love and admiration each character has for one another, in their own ways.

in all, i would recommend this show. fan of mankind versus extinction via monsters or not, god eater has elements in it that makes it an enjoyable watch for a lot of people. (imo)
