i picked up this show on a whim; the art intrigued me and i'm in-between shows so i figured, "why not?" i'm not incredibly mad at that decision. b: the beginning is a pretty decent show, good music, great art, but an okay story.
the show attempts to be a mythological thriller of sorts. it's a demi-human show that doesn't spend a lot of time on the "main character," unlike others that are out there. koku's character seems underdeveloped, but at least he has clear motives, unlike the other protagonist, keith. the whole show, keith is more or less ambiguous, with little motive to speak

god eater is a very enjoyable show, if you like post-apocalyptic mankind against monster type shows. the pace is fair, the art is great, and the show overall is quite good.
though many argue it's "resemblance" to attack on titan, god eater really sets itself apart by combining militaristic and scifi elements into a show that keeps you clicking "play next episode." my biggest complaint is the stupid character designs that looks like characters are literally right out of kingdom hearts (kota) or some rave club dancer. this show does has it's fair amount of fan service and ill fitting costumes, but the show is mostly about ... |
