I will make this short and quick: YLIA is simply beautiful. The art, the music, the story and the characters are all works of pure beauty. I rated this a 10 or a masterpiece because that is really what it is. YLIA is a work of art that needs proper appreciation.

This series was a good change from the more action packed anime but it was still very exciting in its own unique way. The show translated excitement through emotions of the characters that were portrayed through the performing of powerful musical ballads. If you love good, classic, emotional music then there is no reason you won't love YLIA. The music experienced in each episode is enough to make you feel millions of emotions within minutes. It truly is remarkable.

The artwork for YLIA creates a truly remarkable setting that you wish existed in real life so you could go and visit. The elegance of the setting mixes perfectly with the story and the music it provides. All aspects of this anime are beautifully combined together to create a piece of art that we have not seen nor experienced in our lifetime.

The story itself rips at your heart strings and leaves you speechless. I will admit that the story strays away from the more interesting aspects of the show somewhere in the middle (unfortunately). I would have preferred the show to have focused on Kaori a little bit more because even after the completion of the show you are still left with questions about her character. That is pretty much the ONLY negative thing I have to say about YLIA, and that might just be me being petty.

I cannot stress enough how amazing this anime is. If you want something that will move you and change your perspective on live as well as offer some amazing soundtracks and musical performances then this is the anime for YOU!! Please please please at least give it a chance!
