If there was ever such a thing as a perfect anime, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood might be the one. I just finished watching this series and I really cannot think of any major glaring flaws. I still do have a couple unanswered questions but that is to be expected of an anime as complex as FMAB. I watched the first adaptation of FMA years ago and I always felt like I really didn't need to watch Brotherhood because I'd be watching the same thing all over again, but boy was I wrong. I thought the first FMA was good, not great, but I cannot say the
...
same for FMAB. FMAB simply blew me away. The story goes in a completely different direction than the first and I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I forgot about the first series. The only thing FMAB lacks is that background information that you are given in the first series (so I recommend watching at least a little bit of the first FMA before starting Brotherhood). I really didn't know how much I liked Brotherhood until I started watching the last few episodes and realized that this amazing adventure was coming to a close. There have been only a few anime that I have watched that have gotten me truly emotional and FMAB is one of them and that is enough for it to be at the top of my list. At the end I reflected on what the anime had taught me. The common themes throughout this anime are repeated time and time again. Themes like "in order to gain you must give", "in order to grow you must endure and always move forward" ", "The strength of many will always outweigh the strength of one", and "a human life should never be taken for granted" are just some of the many that I picked up on while watching FMAB. This show is deep at times, and a little complicated but it is also a story about relationships, overcoming obstacles, courage, determination and other positive characteristics that instill hope and happiness into the viewers. Every character in this anime learns a valuable lesson in one way or another, because they all have their different problems and in effect are able to learn and grow from these setbacks. You will no doubt connect to the characters of FMAB and just like me, you will grow to miss them once you have finished this series. FMAB strength was found in it's stories, stories that we can all relate to and characters that we can root for and sympathize for (and GOAT openings and endings). This anime is #1 for a reason, i'm not saying it's my absolute favorite but it really is a near perfect anime that I have grown quite fond of. I would like to think that I am a reasonable and realistic anime fan, so please take my review seriously because I'm really not one to hype up an anime like its the greatest thing in the world. Hopefully you give FMAB a chance like I did, because I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.

Naruto is the greatest anime I have watched to date. This anime is all about tragedy and triumph. For every tragedy there is a story of triumph, a story of an underdog overcoming their short-comings and becoming the hero. These tragedies brought me tears and the triumphs inspired me to do amazing things. Never before has anything played with my emotions more than Naruto. Every character has a tragic past, but in the end they are able to overcome their past and become a hero in one way or another. If anything the soundtrack is what tugged and my heartstrings the most. The way the
...
OST was used in every situation made each episode more intense, dramatic or sad. I listen to this OST religiously and even to this day it still brings me to tears and reminds me of the hardships each character went through. I am sitting here struggling to find the words to explain how amazing this anime is but I still feel as if I am not doing Naruto any justice. The endless number of characters and jutsus still amazes me. With every episode there is something new, even the "fillers" that people tend to complain about. If you take the fillers seriously then you will learn things about the characters and gain a greater appreciation for them no doubt, especially the side characters. The depth that this series has is hard to grasp because of the numerous generations that this story is told over. The storyline covers centuries of shinobi and how each of their stories effects the next generation, I still have a tough time grasping this theory. Each decision made in Naruto effects the next, whether it is good or bad. Each character is likable in their own special way, even the so called "villains" of the show. I wish the anime/manga would never end. Naruto will always have a special place in my heart.

I will make this short and quick: YLIA is simply beautiful. The art, the music, the story and the characters are all works of pure beauty. I rated this a 10 or a masterpiece because that is really what it is. YLIA is a work of art that needs proper appreciation.
This series was a good change from the more action packed anime but it was still very exciting in its own unique way. The show translated excitement through emotions of the characters that were portrayed through the performing of powerful musical ballads. If you love good, classic, emotional music then there is no reason you
...
won't love YLIA. The music experienced in each episode is enough to make you feel millions of emotions within minutes. It truly is remarkable.
The artwork for YLIA creates a truly remarkable setting that you wish existed in real life so you could go and visit. The elegance of the setting mixes perfectly with the story and the music it provides. All aspects of this anime are beautifully combined together to create a piece of art that we have not seen nor experienced in our lifetime.
The story itself rips at your heart strings and leaves you speechless. I will admit that the story strays away from the more interesting aspects of the show somewhere in the middle (unfortunately). I would have preferred the show to have focused on Kaori a little bit more because even after the completion of the show you are still left with questions about her character. That is pretty much the ONLY negative thing I have to say about YLIA, and that might just be me being petty.
I cannot stress enough how amazing this anime is. If you want something that will move you and change your perspective on live as well as offer some amazing soundtracks and musical performances then this is the anime for YOU!! Please please please at least give it a chance!

I haven't been watching anime for very long but I decided to watch this anime because I had heard that it was quite the trip. I heard correctly. Mirai Nikki was a wild roller coaster ride from the very first episode, which isn't always true for many animes that take a few episodes to become interesting. This was not the case with Mirai Nikki as I found myself immediately addicted to the show and also conflicted with how to feel about the two main characters along with the plot due to the events that occurred during the first couple of episodes. The whole idea behind
...
Mirai Nikki, or "The Future Diary" is quite unique in my opinion and is something that caught my eye as I debated watching this anime. I won't dive in any deeper because you need to watch the anime to really figure out what it's about.
I have seen people complain on other reviews that the plot developed slowly and predictably and that they quickly lost interest because of this fact. Personally, I agree that the plot lags a bit in the middle portions of the series but what kept me interested and intrigued throughout this entire show was the progression or the lack of progression of Yuno. The fact that her true intentions and dark past remain mostly a mystery until the very end is what kept me glued to my screen as I watched each episode and hoped that something would develop. It would be easy to say that this reasoning is why the show sucked, but for me, this dynamic was way more intriguing than the plot itself. During episodes I would find myself wondering, "Will Yuno finally snap on Yuki and kill him?" or "Will Yuki finally start to love Yuno back?" and "What will Yuno do next?", "Why is Yuno doing this? What is her angle?". You could say that Yuno is quite predictable, she will either go crazy or obsess over Yuki, but in reality she is actually quite unpredictable because you really have no idea why she does what she does or what she is truly aiming to accomplish. Each episode was a roller coaster of anxiety and more questions due to Yuno's dual personality and psychotic love for Yuki. With Yuno, you hope and hope that she might do this or do that, but most of the time she does something completely over the top, and honestly, you're never that upset about it! This sensation is what kept me coming back for more as I finished this anime in less than 3 days. Yuno's actions and motives are the driving force in this show and I do not mind one bit that I was hooked on Mirai Nikki because of that.
I do not believe that this anime is meant to be taken all that seriously and that if you go into it with an open mind and low expectations, you will be pleasantly surprised and pretty much sick to your stomach due to the ups and downs experienced in this show. (in a good way)
I admit that this anime is far from perfect due to a couple of glaring shortcomings. First of all, the main character is just soft and unbelievably boring. There is nothing about Yuki that catches my attention expect for the fact that he just adds to the already gigantic amount of anxiety and indecision that Yuno brings to the show. I found myself wanting Yuki to reciprocate the love that Yuno showed him instead of giving her the cold shoulder and running away in tears like he does most of the time. He was soft and scared even though he had the most bad ass murdering teenage girl in the palm of his hand and he never once showed Yuno any appreciation for her endless devotion to him and his safety, (spoiler) which might have ultimately led to him becoming her prisoner. Secondly, many of the events in the anime seem very forced and random, but again I stress that this show does not really focus on details but instead on the big picture. Lastly, after all the love, betrayal and murder, the 26th episode leaves an unbelievably empty feeling in your heart and stomach. The last few episodes finally answer a lot of questions and adds an element of complexity to the show, but in the end every thing is just kind of meh (for lack of a better term). I was left with an unfinished feeling, as I thought the ending could have gone a million other ways that would have left viewers at least a little satisfied. I will say that I was a bit emotional at the end, but that was only because it was so tragic and frustrating after looking back at everything that Yuno and Yuki had been through leading up to the conclusion of Mirai Nikki (I'm a sucker for tragic love stories, they always cut me deep!) I won't go into detail but the ending is ultimately more or less a cop out and a weak attempt at preventing a happy ending at all costs while still providing something decent to look back on.
As for other aspects of Mirai Nikki, there is not much to be said but they are worth mentioning. The animation is nothing special but it gets the job done. The sound is standard for the most part expect for the memorable first opening. There are a couple sad OST that really tugged at my emotions which and helped to make Mirai Nikki a bit more memorable, as I am a fan of well composed background music (especially the sad ones). There are a couple other relevant characters but I think I'll let you form your own opinions of them by watching the show.
All in all, I believe this was an amazing anime with one of the greatest female characters ever and several beautiful moments that will stick in my mind forever. I firmly believe that Yuno is an anime character that we will only experience once every so often so her excellence as a murdering, cute, teenage stalker should not go unnoticed. Whether you like Mirai Nikki for the show itself or because Yuno just messes you up mentally and you surprisingly love her for it, this show will leave a lasting impact on you. For people who just love creative animes with little complexity then this is the perfect anime for you. I will always love Mirai Nikki for the roller coaster of emotions that it is and it's ability to keep me wondering and yearning for certain outcomes during every single episode. The fact that this is not what you would call traditional is what makes it so beautiful and exciting. I urge you to watch Mirai Nikki before you develop any sort of bias from a silly review. Please, just do yourself a favor, open up your mind a little bit, expect the unexpected and watch Mirai Nikki! You won't regret it!
Oh and by the way, this is my first review ever so I just hope it is at least a little bit helpful for some people and not a complete train wreck!
