Really awesome anime. Very dark and engaging storyline. This anime really changed quickly and becomes this total mind **** by the end. The ending...I really don't know how to explain it without spoiling it, but...just keep the first episode in mind it's kinda important. The one thing I have to say though (hopefully I don't get too much hate for it )...It seemed to really emphasized that there was feelings between Guts and Griffith, but of course there was that bit between the princess and Griffith that made it obvious he's straight. I know in Japan anything gay is kind of a weird subject. They view gay men as the stereotypical feminine type so you never see an out masculine gay character in anime which I've been dying to see. I think it would've been really amazing if they did become a thing. All the framework was there for a really interesting love/hate-ish relationship.
