I won't lie, I mainly stuck around because of the characters I'm already familiar with and like. This arcs story isn't that bad nor is it anything special, but it's at least something that was consistent and seemed thought out. I would probably say where it shined most was the character progression of the Tyrant. The big thing I didn't like about this arc is the excessive amount of fan service. I'm gonna preface this, I do get into a pretty big spoiler, if you haven't watched it, avoid reading.
This anime is among one of the best I've seen. It seems a little too similar to The Attacking Titan (Attack on Titan), but I actually think this was done much better. I really liked the whole train theme, I often found myself reminded of Snow Piercer, you splash a bit of Walking Dead in there and you've got a pretty good anime. Something I gotta point out before going further, this anime has absolutely gorgeous artwork and that alone can be a selling point for it. ...

This anime from the start was mixed for me, more interesting in the first half. I was bouncing between a rating of 5 and 6, but near the end they really shit the bed making it an easy 5. Where it started going down hill was when they introduced Lwai. Didn't like his character, his flamboyant personality was annoying. Then for some reason, the dialogue started getting really cringy. First yaoi. This was honestly pretty boring, the characters didn't look bad, the idea behind the story wasn't bad, but there's just not enough story there that conveyed any emotion in me. I mean, it was a little bit cute, but I had no attachment to the characters and the sex scene was very short and bland. Alright, so this is fresh just finished the last episode. With the way it ended, I won't be surprised if there's more, although I don't know how long the manga is either so I could be wrong, but even then I wouldn't be surprised if the manga has more coming. Anyway, this anime had a pretty good story, I did feel due to the shortness it was a little underwhelming, but I'm counting on another season coming. Haven't watched this in a while so I'm going off memory. You may find yourself skeptical in the first some episodes until the story starts setting in, I think the best way to word this is character progression is a tiny bit slow just in the beginning, but once you see what role the characters play in this show you may find yourself hooked. As the description says this is a continuation of Garo: Honoo no Kokuin and basically the finisher of it. However, I see this more as a filler for the end. The way "the animation" ended, they really didn't have to make a sequel because not much was really left as a cliff hanger so they didn't have much to write on, in fact I was surprised when they announced this movie. nonetheless, it makes sense and I'm glad they did it. So..this ended really wtf. It made no sense. I was thinking maybe it's just because I haven't watched blood-c in about a year? I still remember for the most part what happened in the series, but I'm totally lost. All that only for Fumito to basically just kill himself? I can see they were kind of going for a deeper meaning complex type of ending, but I just didn't really find the ending all that meaningful. I had really high hopes for this show as it seemed very similar to Garo, but I just couldn't get into it. The story seems to pick up in the middle of nowhere, I got what the idea was, but it just felt like I was watching an anime that was half ways through. The fights felt lackluster and overall the show just felt boring. The moment I finally said "yeah I'm done" was when Karas turned into a friggin car and started shooting rockets....your armor...also turns into a car that shoots rockets? Ooookay then. Went from modern style medieval fantasy to scifi medieval fantasy.

I'm sorry, but I really didn't think this anime was that great. The story lost me on the last episode, character design was poor, there was hardly any background on most of them, the show was so short it's like they got half way through and hit writers block so they just gave up. Throughout this I didn't grow an attachment to any of the characters, I started to, but a lot of the time I just sat here wondering wtf this anime even is. It was like a bad version of the Hunger Games.
