The premise is about Kazuma Satou voiced by ''Jun Fukushima'' an ordinary high school student, gamer and NEET who died from an average day walking from home trying to save someone. He reawakens in the afterlife and is greeted by a rude goddess Aqua voiced by ''Sora Amamiya'' telling him that he can either go to heaven or be resurrected in an RPG world to defeat the Demon King, she also tells him that he can bring one thing into this world, after much deliberation and annoyance, Kazuma brings the GODDESS into the world. Thus hilarity ensues as Kazuma and Aqua enters the RPG world, but can they survive this RPG world?. Ok so this is a comedy anime that takes many of the "guy goes into the RPG world and becomes a badass" cliches and turns it up it's head and makes fun of it. For example, within the premise, once Kazuma and Aqua enter the RPG world, they join a guild and in order for them to even get money and have a stable income, they do CONSTRUCTION work just to get by, that's playing against LA's expectations. The comedy is rather sadistic but for what comedy is well LA knows it's subjective but still comedy is about "laughing at someone else's misery" and it does it brutally but with "punchlines" with some very good timing and LA loves this anime because of it. The characters are also "playing against the norm" from typical "badass" going into a RPG world cliches, the main protagonist Kazuma is utterly weak in battle with some thief stats but has HUGE amount of karmic/great luck, Aqua is magically potent but has little intelligence, Megumin voiced by ''Rie Takahashi'' an Explosion Mage can only do ONE spell and that usually ends up doing collateral damage AND ends up making Megumin fatigued due to how much magic she expends, finally the last member of Kazuma's party is Darkness voiced by ''Ai Kayano'' a masochist knight who can't HIT anything due to her low accuracy who revels in being in pain (taking the term Tank into a comedic level), Megumin has to be LA's favourite character as her explosion gag can get inventive considering how it was used in the anime's plot, Darkness' masochist gag can be funny similar to Megumin's, however Aqua can be annoying as all she does complain, and Kazuma although he can be a huge douche at times, it can be even worse when interacting with Aqua, but due to the comedy LA kinda wants to see them MORE in this misery for the SAKE of comedy, see what LA means by the comedy being rather brutally sadistic?. Whether it be sadistic or not, it's still funny as hell and LA won't take that KonoSuba is one of the funniest animes from Winter of 2016 because of it. Now in terms of animation, well done by Studio Deen, the character designs are the biggest hit for this animation, with the battles and backgrounds taking a better look at the animation, however LA kinda finds it funny that the character designs are "weak" although it kinda emphasizes the entire "playing against the guy going into an RPG world and becoming a badass" into the animation with it's weak character designs (though the character designs do look unique at least). LA will note that the plot does have interweaving sub-plotlines that allows the plot to move forward through the parties actions (though there are some plotlines that are isolated cases within the one episode) that makes the comedy even better. How is the ending?, well even though they make it climactic as possible it's kinda brings in what it is typical of KonoSuba with that karmic luck added in for good measure. Overall there's not much LA can say but KonoSuba is one of the best comedy anime of Winter 2016 and LA can't wait to see more, ohh wait..they just announced a second season~!!!. YASHHHHH~!!!.
