Sword Art Online, the anime that everyone loves to hate and for good reason. Sword Art Online II continues the trend of having a pretty good first half, then a very bad second half. The real redeeming quality of Sword Art Online II is the introduction of Sinon. She is maybe the fist character in the series with any real depth and she escalates the plot to new heights. Kirito is the same old predictable character, they attempt to add depth to his killing in SAO but it doesnt really feel genuine. The story is interesting enough in the first half and Gun Gale Online is a cool game. If you're watching SAO II, i recommend you watch the first half and stop there. The second half of SAO II is downright terrible, and even makes the second half of SAO proper look good. It feels pointless and its overall boring. They try to make you care about a new character, but overall they fall short. Sinon is one of my favorite anime characters of recent memory and if it weren't for her, the second season of sword art online would not be worth a damn. If you didn't like SAO don't even bother, but if you did like it, watch the first half of season 2. It enjoyable enough.
