A great adaptation of the first story of the original manga.

The retrofuturism visuals, specially on the vehicles, sets a film noir atmosphere to the psychological drama.
There are outstanding animations, scenarios and landscapes all around the movie, but sadly, some times they give too much screen time to some ugly CGI.

One thing I have to agree with some critics is that there is a quotation fetish going on, and it doesn't really add much to the "deepness" of the drama... I mean, it's was too much.

I watched Stand Alone Complex after watching the original movie and I was kinda disappointed, 'cause it was a complete different series, but Innocence takes back the feeling from the original movie and I think it was a great successor.
