I'll never be able brush my teeth again, thanks for the trauma.

Story:
Before watching I was curious if Nisemonogatari was more of what we already got in Bakemonogatari or if it would be a different experience. The answer is: both. We have more weird dialogues and more girls possesed by monsters. On the other hand, this season features actual villains, which we didn't really have in Bakemonogatari. This time we don't get a romance subplot (...or do we?), instead we focus on Araragis relationship to his sisters. Nise felt much slower than Bake, which is a shame seeing how it is only half as long. I also didn't like all the incest implications. It was still good enough for me, but not as good as it could have been, seeing how Bakemonogatari was.

Art:
Nothing really changed in this department. It's still a little like an acid trip, but not to the extremes of the first season. What we do get more of instead is fanservice. If you didn't like the fanservice of Bakemonogatari (which wasn't that much in my eyes), you will likely not like watching Nisemonogatari. I personally don't mind that, but in combination with the pseudo-incest, it did feel a little disturbing every now and then.

Sound:
Obviously no real difference except for the openings and ending. While I found the ending a little weaker than the Bakemonogatari one, the openings were better. I especially liked Karens ska-like theme, but the others were nice too. The voice acting was just as good as in season one.

Characters:
As I already mentioned (multiple times), I really didn't like the incest undertones. They prevented me from enjoying the two new major characters Nisemonogatari introduces to us, the Araragi sisters. I thought they were kinda interesting and especially the dynamic between Karen and Koyomi works well. The two bad guys (yes, one is a girl, I know) were okay, not amazing but acceptable. But the one who stole the show of course was Shinobu. She was a completely different character from what she appeared to be in the first season and now I get we so many people like her so much. I heard she was supposed to be voiced by Aya Hirano, but Maaya Sakamoto is perfect. It's as if she was born to voice Shinobu.

Enjoyment:
I liked Bakemonogatari a little more, though watching this anime was easier, since it's shorter and less complex. The newly introduced (or rather newly fleshed out) characters were enjoyable and the introduction of villains was interesting. I didn't mind the heavier fanservice, but I did mind all the sister-touching. That really took a lot of fun out of watching Nisemonogatari for me. I don't mind such things in general, but here it was completely pointless and unnecessary. If you liked Bakemonogatari, I'd say the chances you like Nisemonogatari are about 2/3.
