Your Lie in April is Very Very Very Special to me as it was my 100th Anime.
Ah Your Lie in April was an really beautiful experience of its genre since sometime.Your Lie in April really deserves the rank it has here on MAL.
why so this review will try to answer that?
Story[9/10]-The story of YLIA(I know the acronym sucks) is really different and is a good one.while the idea of a cheerful girl feeling the life of sad depressed kind boy is not new to me.But the execution was really good.It has a good pacing.through the ending is really forshadowed it will still affect you.
Art[10/10]-Since only watched anohana(was an good anime but not great for me) from A-1 Pictures before this.I did not expected much with the art.But boy I was so wrongs,The Art is really Gorgious in every single from character designs to the background locations and sceneries and from character's fingers while playing piano to the starry sky everything was just beautiful.it gave me many many WOW movements to me.
Sound[11/10]-Wait a movement did you read 11/10 yes.that is correct.It was that awesome for me. as an anime OST and Piano lover the soundtrack of Your Lie in April was like icing on cake.If the soundtrack itself was not enough add very good use of classical music to it(for example use of Chopin Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Op 23 in the end beware of comments if you want to listen this on youtube ).
my fav original ost from this anime is Yuujin A-kun wo Watashi no Bansousha ni Ninmeishimasu(warning google it and listen on your own risk as there are chances of getting spoilers).
Characters[9/10]-I found my self is someways similar to kousei. the character development is really good.the only fault here is the very less focus on watari.other than that every character is given enough spotlight according to their role.
Enjoyment[10/10]-unlike my recent anime like anohana & angel beats which almost made me cry and the feeling disappeared after sometimes.
Your Lie in April left a hole in my heart like my fav romantic anime toradora and golden Time did.
I enjoyed it to the fullest.
