You won't feel anything for the characters for quite a while but you'll find it endearing once you connect with them. However,there is one part that I find that doesn't match with the whole anime. (Dancing?)
I enjoyed the music and animation, which works well with the action scenes. Pace wise, I find it slow and the anime would benefit by increasing the pace/cutting a few scenes.
Overall, a good anime to fill your weekend. Make sure to watch the movie Mirai-hen to connect the cliff-hanger and end the anime with a satisfying tone.
