When I bought this one I did not expect to find what I did, I read no reviews, and I think I bought it for the girl on the cover, she looked kinda cute. So I took a chance...

This has got to be one of the more powerful anime I've watched. And its one of the few where I simply cannot agree with anything in the lower rated reviews.

Normally I go for the really wacky characters, this one doesn't really have those to the extent of some of my other favorites of this genre like Toradora or Chunibyo or Pet Girl of Sakura Hall. instead it focuses on a deeper more dramatic storyline. Much more adult, less childlike, and I don't mean that in terms of Hentai.

But really the backstory and the ghost self, and all the little but meaningful details in between are so intensive. Perhaps its because... I have had a girlfriend like Koko, and girls from the past like Linda. They did them very well.

This one left me haunted and thinking about it much longer than when the anime ended. I think the only other anime that did that to me was Kanon and it was for the same reasons. Leaving them behind and then coming back years later and realizing the enormous impact you'd had in their lives for good or bad.

The art was excellent, as was the story and the character development,

I don't know if I can watch this one again... but not because it sucks or anything like that... but because it may just be too painful... again much like Kanon was for me.
