The general story is pretty poor by itself, its another zombie like viral infection that isn't explained not one bit. Zilch. But the story of the characters and their adventure together is very nicely portrayed. In the beginning I hated the girl with the pink hair, but at the end I was so bonded with the story I felt her character. If that's not being hooked onto something, idk what is.
The art is kind of different than your usual anime, the characters aren't portrayed in a "real" manner, but there is more reality to the drawing, less bulgy crystal eyes.
While I can see the harem in it, its less of a fight between the girls for the guy because of their desire to survive, which is awesome IMO. Because you get the harem, but no bullshit from the characters who are lining up for senpai to notice them.
I HIGHLY recommend it.
