Konosuba might come off as a SAO clone. Its not.
If SAO is the father, this anime is like the drunk uncle of the family.

The comedy is over 9000! I watched it about 5-6 times, all of it, start to finish.
Its not a waste of your time. It will make you laugh... a lot.
And you will like the characters... a lot.
Why? Because it makes fun of itself and the genre.

CHARACTER SPOILERS!
The characters make this anime what it is.
You have an MC Thief that is always broke, a Goddess that is getting wasted all the time, a psycho Mage that only wants to explode things and read more

Its another harem that justifies its existence solely based upon the male MC always saving the day with pretty girls everywhere loving the shit out of him. It also has magic in it. But even though its the "magical world" there are other anime that do magic better. Here it feels like they didn't want to go with knights or guns so they put magic in it. Its okay.

The beginning is quite good though, unexpected and funny. Even if you dislike harem anime, there is a decent comedy and enjoyment in this. Its nothing new but its not as bad.

The characters are well rounded up, read more

Do you like books by one of these authors: Friedrich Nietzsche, Michel Foucault, William Shakespeare, George Orwell, Jules Verne, Arthur Conan Doyle, Jonathan Swift, Philip K. Dick, Marquis de Sade, Kenzaburou Oe, Junichirou Tanizaki, Shuuji Terayama ?
- If yes, then you might like this anime

Its set in a orwellian state in the making, where the technology isn't fully developed but society is restructured towards a flawless, perfect and autonomous system that manages humanity. Well in this case, it's only Japan that has this system and the anime is based around the pros and cons of living in such a system. And I think they portray read more

This is basically Dragonball with vampires. No, enough said.

The important parts of that I got from this anime is: it references dragonball alot for shits and giggles. No other reason. Yes it does look good and yes its funny, but maybe dragonball references aren't funny to you.

The characters aren't unique at all, its the same stereotypes you see in literally any anime. The story is the interesting part IMO. It ties magic and technology with vampires, werewolves with a ton of fighting. Not bad at all.

There is subtle romance and ecchi but other than huge oppai (which are a staple of ANY anime these days read more

I really wanted to like this anime. Sadly, the more I watched of it, the less I got into it until the final episode where I was happy to have watched it... because I didn't want to watch it anymore.

Its not a bad anime, but I think that somewhere along the road it became a disaster. The story stopped making sense, the characters were flipping out for silly reasons and did things that at the end of the episodes made no sense.

What killed it for me was the story. After episode 6 or 7 the anime turned into another anime that I didn't sign up read more

Its been a while since I wrote another "review". Oh well...

There is nothing wrong or right about this anime. Its another harem where MC is being liked by everyone and is the best because the writers said so. The story is sort of interesting and there is potential here, though I feel its squandered on the harem genre.

I liked the characters though there is nothing special about them. The MC is also nothing special, maybe the whole reading books is kind of cute, in a nerdy way. I like it, its nothing special.

You aren't missing much by not watching this, but its a cushion anime read more

! ! ! SPOILERS ! ! !

Overlord is a dark-ish copy of Log Horizon. Its similar in so many ways that its pointless to outright list everything. If you watched both, you would simply know. To be fair, I did say its dark-ish and it is. Extra details to blood & gore, killing of characters just to paint the picture of how undead and dark the MC is and last, a good example of human cruelty. Not a lot, but enough. Its slap happy type of anime so its brutal elements aren't more than one combat scene.

Its background story is of the "not-so-well-explained-maybe-later-but-probably-never" kind that read more

SPOILER ALERT!
This review contains spoilers, so scroll up/down now if you haven't watched it.

This anime feels like a rip-off. First of all, I can safely assume this anime carries its inspiration on its sleeve. The MC, Ayato looks like Kirito in second season of Sword Art Online. He even has a same color laser sword or whatever. Though this anime has original concepts in it, its not exactly "trying" to be original.

There is nothing original about the MC or the other characters. Its like any action harem ecchi anime you've seen a thousand times till now. I feel like this was a quick-buck maker for read more

SPOILER ALERT
This review will contain spoilers. If you don't want that, scroll up/down now.

Its been a long time since I gave an anime a 10/10!!!

At first, other reviews said this was a typical harem non-sense. And I kind of bought into it, but had nothing to watch so I decided on this one. I got hooked since episode 1.

Why? Because the MC is another one that is "little off" from the standard dumb as a brick, closed off guy that is super embarrassed about little skin. I'd have to say that he is one of the very rare MC in anime that has admitted read more

Preliminary
WARNING! HENTAI ALERT

An average hentai in my taste. Teacher dominates idol women in prestigious school only for daughters of famous families aka "princesses". He plays sweet, nice and cool - but he is a manipulative and sadistic in nature.

Its not bad. The art feels dated, and the animations aren't as in other hentai I've watched. Sounds are great though.

Overall I think its enjoyable, but you will have to watch it yourself to see if you like it. I'm not gonna trash it or recommend it, but leave it up to you to decide.
