ALL HAIL LELOUCH VI BRITANNIA!

The second season of Code Geass continues the events of the first season (see review of first season) as it follows Lelouch as he goes through his normal day at Ashford Academy with his brother Rolo. After a trip to a casino he runs into Kallen and C.C. where he regains his memories and his Geass power and from there on he rejoins the Black Knights as their leader Zero and continues his quest to bring the Britannian Empire down, so he could make a peaceful world for Nunnally. He still has to fight family members and Suzaku, but during the anime he eventually teams with Suzaku to change Britannia and initiates his final plan called The Zero Requiem.

One character that really deserves mentioning is Rolo because he plays a big role in this show. He is portrayed as his little brother, but is actually is an assassin who is ordered to kill Lelouch if he regains his memories. He like Lelouch has the power of Geass, but his Geass has the power to manipulate an individuals sense of time making it look like he has stopped time. And I'm just going to say it. That's fucking awesome.

Now there is one major flaw with this show that I just cannot ignore. The big problem with this show is Charles zi Britannia's master plan. It is so complex and so confusing that it's mind boggling. If it was as simple as "I want to become God". But the ending to this show is fucking amazing so it makes up for that.

Overall the show is great, but the greatest part about this show is… The ending. The series finale of Code Geass is the greatest ending I have ever seen period. It was enough to make this show a masterpiece. The second season of Code Geass is one that I highly recommend.
