Visual wise i look at this show as something amazing but i also look at it and say why can't it keep the amazing through out. The parts with the girl and the robot look freaking amazing while the parts in the normal world look good but compared to those scenes they are sub par. I really never have much to say about visuals because honestly i don't have high expectations.
Music is soothing and catchy. You see the music in this show should represent the tone it is trying to create. All this show is, is a romance. So you can understand why the songs in the show are light and cheerful. The op's in this show are FREAKING INSANE!!!! I love them i absolutely love them
Characters are what makes this show good. You see in a show that is a slice of life i'd like most of the characters to be different. Everyone in clannad is different. I hate Sunohara though. I find him just so annoying and well it is mainly because i hate the type of person Sunohara is portraying. MOVING ON! So honestly what makes these characters work is simple. Together they seem to match perfectly. Tomoya is a fantastic lead and works perfectly with Nagisa while Akio is something special. Honestly i haven't laughed so hard in my life when he is on the screen. That is why this characters are great. They bring so much different things into the show. They aren't just one trick ponies as i like to say.
So overall i think you can tell i really enjoyed this show. I think it might be the best slice of life anime of all time. With moments that will make you cry all night while laughing at the same time i believe that Clannad is something anyone would enjoy.
