The reason why you shouldn't watch it is because the anime is pretty awesome. It's not going to change the way you see life, it's not going to make you say "it's my favorite anime of all time" but you will enjoy it, it will grow on you episode after episode, and just when you're getting into it, it ends, with no closure, nothing.
The story is not immense but it's pretty decent, a guy wants to be the greatest air trek rider in the universe, and the first season is just a build up to see what you should expect, get to know the characters, and take a sneak peek at the awesome rivals he will have to face in the future... a future only available in manga sadly.
The soundtrack is great, the art is good, the concept is relatively unique, and overall it's a very, very solid anime that could easily be one of my favorites if it was completed, and it will definitely leave you wanting for more.
Viewer discretion is advised, strong fanservice components such as light ecchi. (Censored in all the anime versions as far as I know).
