Starting off with the bad. This series had very inconsistent animation. Where as the fight scenes were all beautifully animated, this series seemed to be lacking every where else. I guess I can let it slide because of the low budget of the series. But other than that we have the lacking soundtrack with only one memorable song for me. Blumenkranz, the rest of the Original music in the anime was really more cliche of the action genre.
Onto what was good about it. What is good about this anime is that it really good to review without spoiling. I liked the metaphors used in this series quite a bit, going into the metaphors would spoil the anime, but a huge motif in this anime is freedom. Another thing I liked was the amount of variety there was when it came to main characters. You didn't have a single main character who wasn't explained at least a little, and when a character was main to the plot you know who they were and why they were who they were (If that makes any sense to the rest of you at all). The OST has songs that worked with the scenes, but weren't very memorable, so I guess that could be both a good and a bad thing about Kill la Kill. But as I said before the fight scenes were so beautifully animated that they did over power the rest of the scenes. This also wasn't a one dimensional plot like I was led to believe, you can't just read a summary and get the jist of what happens in the series.
Final Verdict:
It is a good series, extremely so overrated and I probably won't watch it again at any point. But I would suggest watching it once as it actually a really good series.
