I used to love Bleach, at least the first arc, but things sorta started dropping when the arrancar arcs came along. I really liked the first arc, with Ichigo trying to save Rukia, because there was suspense and a little mystery and your favorite classic shounen anime. The characters were likeable and there were its funny moments as well. After that, it seemed like the author didn't really care much anymore about making it mysterious or anything, and it became too predictable. bad guy comes along, bad guy beats ichigo, ichigo becomes stronger, ichigo beats up bad guy. in the process ichigo obtains a superpowerful mode or something, which is cliche in shounen anime and also predictable. i like more unique anime, and the main characters strong in their own way, or with the help of friends, instead of pushing one super strong move on him after another, making him inhumanely powerful.
There were also some plot holes, and some explanations not really mentioned. In the manga arc, which is its final arc for bleach, it sort of became a hassle to read because it became so predictable and some parts didnt make sense. It also seemed like the author was trying to tie up all loose ends in the plot from all the previous arcs in that final arc, which made it seem like he was rushing things.
I would've done things a bit differently if I was the author, but I recommend watching bleach for the first arc before the first long filler comes a long because it's actually pretty good. It's up to you whether you want to continue, but I'd recommend not to watch the fillers.
