Mixed Feelings
I heard very nice things about this anime and how it was very nicely yandere themed... No one warned me of how awful it was therefore I thought I'd make a review of it (I'll try my best not to make it into a rant ^^' ).
Frankly as terrible as I consider this anime to be, I honestly say give it a watch. It's pretty didactic (it teaches a lesson,) and if you're a yandere fanatic then by all means watch the anime that began to popularize yanderes. There is also the visual novel version which looks to be better, I've never played it but one day I might.

Story - 6/10 - So basically School Days is your average harem/slice of life/ecchi anime, I'm leaving it at that because I'd rather not spoil it. However the ending was wonderful, not to the extent to which I wanted it to be but still good. If you don't feel like wasting five hours (plus countless more hours of ranting...) of your life watching this, then by all means look up the epic ending on YouTube. I have heard of fans brought to tears by the ending, I wasn't, I cheered :3

Art - 7/10 - The animation is pretty average quality and style of its time. The colours used were particularly dark and faded which were a nice touch.

Sound - 8/10 - The music for this anime is spectacular, it's basically the entire reason that I don't fully regret watching this anime. It features a great soundtrack and different ending themes for the episodes done by various artists with ironic (in regards to the anime,) lyrics and other lyrics that'll cause you to tear up. The final song used is just... Epic. Sang by the lovely Ito Kanako and features heartbreaking lyrics.

Character - 6/10 - School Days features one of the most hated main characters ever, I despise Makoto and I know many others who do so as well. Makoto is a playboy who is either super dense or completely incapable of feeling remorse. It takes him eight episodes to realize how much of a terrible person he is, does he change? No. The two main female characters (Kotonoha and Sekai,) display what lengths some girls go to for a guy (yandere lengths to be exact). Bring out the pity party and the criticizing, some people respond with pity, some people judge the characters as superbly dense, others like me feel a mixture of the two. The rest of the characters are similar to each other and don't develop much.

Enjoyment - 5/10 - I had to force myself to finish this anime, I wanted to drop it countless times, but I stuck through to see the ending which was partially spoiled for me. The ending wasn't enough to satisfy me. I did watch a few of the other visual novel endings which made me feel a bit better and a few AMVs on YouTube. Will I ever watch it again? Absolutely not. Will I rewatch the ending with it's masterpiece background music? Of course.

Overall - 6/10 - I rate nicely, so keep that in mind. If you don't feel like watching this anime in its entirety, then watch the ending, listen to the soundtrack, don't be a playboy/playgirl, and go tell your significant other that you love them dearly.
