Bleach is the story of an unappreciated teenage boy with a dark past and special abilities who thought that no one liked him because they made fun of his hair and have clearly never seen him take off his shirt.
Well... I just made it sound like every other story out there.
Bleach is very special-- to me and to many other fans-- in the way that we were able to sit through the fillers multiple times. *kind of spoilers*
Art- 8
In the beginning of the Anime, the art is very... interesting. Personally, I love the art in this anime with the fight scenes and the whole package. I think this is a very good example of shounen style art and how their amazing (maybe exaggerated) muscles should look.
Sound- 10
The soundtrack for this series is AMAZING! There are songs for every mood and every situation... but that leads to soundtracks that are almost useless and thrown away because nobody wants to listen to them. There are many, many soundtracks for Bleach. I also love the openings and endings that are used for Bleach. Some appeal to me and some appeal to others.
Character- 6
Great, we have our stereotypical hero, Kurosaki Ichigo. Carrot top hero over here gets a lot of show time. Don't get me wrong, I love him a lot and I think he's very cool and hot. But, by the time you finish this series, you will be pulling your hair out because THERE ARE SO MANY CHARACTERS! Characters that provide almost nothing for the storyline? Kubo, we love your originality, but there's no need for so many characters! For example, we have the ten espada right? Then we have another 90 arrancar underneath them along with some of the mentioned former espada. I love Grimmjow though.
Enjoyment- 8:
This is a little bit more personal. Perhaps I enjoyed this anime more than others but that's because I hold it close to my heart and I cry when Ichigo does and I laugh when even the most remotely humorous things happens. The anime does have some funny scenes.
Overall- 8:
Well, you see, this anime will always be one of my favorites. Remember, it's not for everybody but it is very easy to get addicted to once you start flowing with the story.
Story- 6
The over-arching story, as I said before, was forgotten, time and time again. While the main character, the extremely sexy Kurosaki Ichigo, is busy fighting hollows, fighting new powers of his, and making new friends that are rarely mentioned again in the whole series, the audience is always left with a cliff hanger shortly followed by a terrible, irrelevant filler about the mod soul stuffed animal that nobody wants to see used for anything more than a comic relief. THERE IS A MAJOR SPOILER THAT PISSED ME OFF MORE THAN ANYTHING EVER. *******
You see, by the end of the main story line, you're left wondering, hm, did Ichigo actually beat any of his opponents? He didn't. You heard me, he didn't. Every single opponent he had was manipulated by Aizen since the beginning to be only as good as Ichigo himself and then you find out that Aizen's put Ichigo on surveillance since a long long time ago and then you just go well- way to solve plot holes, Kubo.
