This anime had a lot going for it near the beginning; the storyline was extremely solid and had a lot going for it, the art style was brilliant, the sound track was amazing (Despite all of the complaints about poor Aya), and I truly felt happy while watching this anime- the first couple episodes at least.

After the first season, I began to see a little bit of repetitiveness creep in and I noticed a familiar pattern, but I loved it all the same because I loved it. Then, we all know what happened with the Endless Eight, which really did live up to the "Endless" part of it's name. Although I did like the first episode of the 8-part story, by the second episode I was a little disappointed due to the lack of originality, and you can only imagine how I felt watching all 8 parts. So even for a rather short 28-episode anime, there were quite a lot of filler episodes, which was a little disappointing.

However, these are only the downsides to this series, truth be told, the plotline (in my opinion), was extremely original (even though they never explained exactly what Haruhi was), and the humor in this show never failed to make me laugh. Between Mikuru's awkwardness, Haruhi's boldness, and Kyon's use of sarcasm, it generally made me laugh quite a bit. Not to mention the very few parts of the story that were sad (I'll avoid putting any examples due to most of them being spoilers.)

Overall, this anime truly made me smile, even though some of the filler episodes were extremely painful to sit through, not to mention the episode order being a little odd, I would recommend anyone to watch this if they're in need of a good laugh and a little heartwarming.
