The story is very similar to that of Sherlock Holmes in the beginning but as the characters develop and the story line unfolds it grips your attention so much so that it's hard to stop watching.
The main characters Ciel and Sebastian and are easy to fall in love with even though they both have complex backgrounds, there is a strong theme of mystery through out this anime and i suppose that's one of the reasons its so gripping.
Overall this anime will always be my favourite due to the perfect graphics, thrilling story line and supernatural nature, I recommend this to absolutely anyone.
Keeping this in mind, i find this anime to be one that can have you in tears one moment and giggling the next, it brings out a lot of emotions and that's exactly what caught my attention. During the first few episodes i was unsure about whether to carry on watching, number one because it was the middle of the night and it was pretty creepy but also because i had never watched something quite like it. Slowly as the story unfolded though i found myself thrown into the world of Kuroshitsuji and i regret nothing.
