The Boxer

Made by the same author, both the main character are really empty, the side characters are all really well written, the artstyle and narrative are really great, a difference between these 2 is that The Boxer has a lot more dialogues and more wordy than The Horizon, it also not only focuses on the protagonist but there are still a lot more interesting haracters yet to come
At first it wasn't obvious, but crossing the 80 chapter mark you can really feel that the author has been taking inspiration from The Horizon, namely the answer to meaning of life after tragedies, and how it's different for other people.
*Both MCs are quiet.
<> Imo The Boxer has done it better because the reader has had more time to empathise with the characters, and also because it was his second work (not counting Mosquito War for a moment), a few years later.
