Epic. high quality space opera with an awesome cast of characters and epic choral pieces.
Space operas with accent to characters relationships. Not so action orientated with great meaning and progress when it comes about the characters.
LotGH and Terra are the two best space operas anime has to offer. LotGH is superior in most ways except for animation, but Terra follows close behind. They are both epic galaxy and time spanning sagas that tell a tale of humanity being it's own greatest enemy, and the long road to overcome this.
Both are sci-fi stories, the plots are quite different but if you like space operas, I'm sure you will enjoy it because the characters are awesome (very well made, at the end you will love the complexity of every one of them) and it is full of intense feelings. The end is not predictable and and very satisfactory but prepare yourself for a long cry.
