A look into an ordinary day of some extraordinary people's lives. As soon as they get up in the morning, absolutely anything goes.
Both titles are hilarious school comedy witch absurd gags that will caught you off-guard every time.
Also Sasahara and Sakamoto are literally the same character.
Nichijou and Sakamoto are both equally similar in how they execute the humor. In both shows, the main characters are all put into extremely ridiculous situations. Consequently, they are all forced to think on their feet, which causes them to respond with overexaggerated emotions and humorous actions that often do not make any sense. In Nichijou, however, the humor revolves around 6 main characters; In Sakamoto, it's just, well, Sakamoto.
Similar random humor. Picture a show centered around Mai but pretentious and you got Sakamoto.

Both use their own ways of delivering their comedic aspects and both do it in an exaggerated manner
