I just read your fmab review and while your review does a decent job at connecting fmab to fma, your review had very little credibility, simply due to the fact that you hadn't seen enough episodes. I'm not big of an fma fan either, btw.
Anyway, the characters do get better development afterward. For example, it is revealed that Scar was the one who killed Winry's parents and Winry deals with how she wants to take revenge, giving her a more clear character than in the original series. Also, you cannot say that the characters are generic, they are extremely realistic because Hiromu did her research.
“In researching this volume, I interviewed veterans who had been at the front during World War II. I read countless books, examined film footage, and listened to many detailed and intense stories firsthand, but the one comment that affected me the most came from a former soldier who lowered his gaze to the tabletop and said, ‘I never watch war movies.” -Hiromu Arakawa
I enjoyed reading your fma review. It's nice seeing someone else submitting a bad review over that overrated piece of turd this site has a boner over. Usually I think it's terrible to review something without watching the entirety, but believe me, the problems only get worse and the characters never grow, develop, or get exposed in any significant way.
You can't write a review stating that something is "shitty" after watching 5 episodes.
Would've marked helpful if you watched the whole thing and actually cited examples from the show as a holistic whole instead of just comparing the first 5 episodes to the original show.

You are just a troll.
