both have supernatural powers and gangster style, not especificaly similar to the whole but jojo golden wind and yorkshin arc in HxH, and both have unique and original skill system

maybe not similar as a whole but especificaly the yorkshin arc in hunter x hunter reminds me bungou stray dogs, has a mixture of humor with drama and mistery, supernatural powers, gangsters and crime organizations unique characters, i found it strange no one recommending it before, i love this mafia style so much if you like it too i feel you will enjoy watching these two show

second most equal in this recomendation list that i watch, both are same dark atmosphere and psycological horror, both MC has a similar personality and become emotinaly unstable after, serial lain is more focus on cyber world and virtual consequences, madoka is mora focus sobrenatural in miracles and prices to pain both ending is similar consequence, madoka had great inspiration in serial experiments lain

maybe this is most similar on the list but few comment, both have similar atmosphere dark urban, both great sci-fi animes, serial lain is more dark and confusing theme about reality and virtual reality (wired) and its consequences, steins;gates has more focus on time travel and consequence about change destiny, both MC is become emotionally unstable after while, steins;gates had great influence from serial experiments lain,for me the most similar of all those here on the list that i watched, and i watched them all

...then you might like 3-gatsu no Lion add

i don't know why no one recommended it before but both shows delve into issues of depression ans isolation, NHK is more comedy cringe and psycologyc and 3-gatsu is mora drama both are great shows if you like one ou probably like other
