This anime would be in the top shelf of a dumpster. Like top review said, it’s 10000% a friendly reminder to not always take anime so seriously, whoever rated this a 4 and wrote a whole review on it, BRO its not that deep. The story was CLEARLY not made to leave you in awe. Story isn’t mediocre but like I said, the authors agenda clearly isn’t to make a memorable, completely renovating, jaw dropping, ground breaking, never to be seen anime/manga. Now, the thing that is carrying this anime is the COMEDY, I laughed every episode and this is EXTREMELY subjective so I can ... understand a bad score, but seeing the reviews of people who score it badly, they’re clearly nerds who took this anime wayyyy too seriously to begin with.

Enjoyment= 10/10
Story= 6/10

Looking at the authors agenda giving it a score of 7 almost feels disrespectful but I am SORRY, giving it an 8 would be disrespectful to my list.

Art:7, nothing crazy, pretty generic to me

Sound: 6, both op grew on me, not a fan of the background music

Characters: 3, I quite literally did not like any character, but I didn’t dislike every character either. I wasn’t lenient towards any character because the writing didn’t make me feel anything on these characters which is a really bad thing, I didn’t care about anyone. Tada Bandri is so plain which made me question how he even got with koko which also felt extremely rushed, koko literally threw away mitsuo and fell in with banri in one episode. ALSO I don’t know if it was just ... me, or the subtitles, but the way they spoke was so unrealistic? formal? I don’t even know how to explain it, it didn’t feel like actual people were talking and this is the first anime i’ve experienced this feeling

Story: 4, like top review already said, amnesia plot is just wonky, now I never experienced it or know how amnesia works but it just seemed unrealistic. I’m the type of guy to say, “its anime, its not meant to be realistic” but this anime included nothing that isn’t humanly possible that I couldn’t help but think “this is so unrealistic bruh”. if amnesia wasn’t present this would be a weaker version of horimiya. Its literally the same with Tada and Koko getting together in the first few episodes, then introducing some random problem like koko crashing and then a solution. You could basically cut half of the anime and still understand the MAIN plotline which is the amnesia part. Basically these extra filler episodes felt like it was a way for us to see some character development and for us to have some love for these characters but it was just weak. I wasn’t COMPLETELY bored but I would’ve rather not watched those filler, I didn’t care about anyone but I REALLY felt bad for koko when banri was with linda in that night party thing, they were taking a picture and idc bruh they were about to kiss and I was like OMMMGGG, koko pulled up and threw a drink at his face.

Overall: This is a strong 6 or a really weak 7 (i gave it a 7), the thing I disliked the most was how unrealistic they were with situations, being over dramatic and doing a lot with a situation that wasn’t a big deal and also how unnatural they spoke to each other. I don’t like comparing anime but Oregairu did a WAYYY better job at displaying how a character felt and how they just spoke to each other, I guess slang? is what im trying to say. anyways good ending, just the triagle love with mitsuo that was unanswered which I get usually mad when things aren’t answered but like I said, I didn’t care about any characters so this is actually the first time im okay with an open ending

As of the time that i’m writing this, this is the worst anime I have seen so far.

Look wise? bland, distinguishable. nothing to really fuss over about but characters themselves?we as a viewer weren’t told the motivation at all and why the did the things they were doing. why did satoru really even go out of his way to help this random girl in the past, why is the professor the way he is mentally. We just got no development from these characters and in a way I can brush this off, we can just assume the professor is crazy and mc is a nice ... guy, boom simple

STORY
NOW THIS, TRASH, omg. This anime actually started very promising, with the 1st episode really catching my attention but once mc ran away from the police after knowing he wasn’t the one who killed his mother was when it started going down hill VERY quick and this was also the time were he time traveled. The power of being able to go back in time was executed terribly. It was quite literally never explained and to top it off, it happened at random. This allowed the author to literally make any changes when needed but instead of using it to develop the characters in the story, the author uses this to literally just make the story work. This story had numerous plot holes one being when mc died drowning in the car, it was literally never explained how he got out of there and ended in a coma LIKE WHAT?? Now, 75% of the story was saving kayo which was 0/10 enjoyment, I found it a chore to watch this kid hiding this other kid in a bus and them making “moments”. Once kayo was safe with her grandma, POOF shes gone from the story, this is super unnatural and feels weird that the whole goal of the mc is just gone and fast forward to the last episode BOOM shes pregnant.Now, I actually liked the ending, I don’t think there was a better way to end it, maybe it could’ve been a better execution, same outcome either way tho. I mean, WE ALL KNOW PIZZA GIRL IS THE BEST, PIZZA GIRL IS WERE ITS AT, literally felt satisfied with the fact that she was showed in the end cs OMG. I was about to flip if a girl who was introduced to us, emotionally attached her to us by wanting to save mc and was the only one to believe in him when he was down bad just to throw that character away and not be shown? at that point how can anyone even like this anime. Luckily, we got closure on her but bad news she lost all her memories and that is like the worst ending for any show.

Overall
If you can’t tell already, I hate this show. I think it’s overrated, I WILL SAY THIS, I watched peak before this and tokyo revengers time traveling power actually gets explained. maybe thats why I really hate the fact that nothing is explained and think the writing is terrible. I don’t think this even remotely deserves to be compared to tokyo revengers, these 2 shows are very different with time traveling being the only thing in common.

I don’t know what I was expecting but I was a bit dissatisfied.This quite literally did not have plot, and the meanings of things weren’t really deep. This isn’t a story made to be memorable and I guess thats what really threw me off, otherwise this is just a very nice, laid back anime to watch. I’ve seen some people say hori is toxic? I don’t get were thats coming from. Sakura deserves justice and was my fav character but I also thought yuki was a nice match, so sad;(. I REALLY REALLY liked the art, music is nice, characters are very distinguishable and just ... so like vibrant? i guess is the word. COMEDY, this is a big topic, this show did make me laugh quite a few times but the comedy in this show was really inconsistent. Some episodes I didn’t even laugh at all and didn’t even realize this was a rom com until the 10th ep. Still, it made me laugh so 7/10 and if it wasn’t for the comedy I would’ve probably died trying to finish the show because the enjoyment would go down due to the fact that the freaking story is doo doo. It is also my fault because I was expecting some fire story romance masterpiece, I went in blind and just saw the score of 8.2 and that is a REALLY REALLY good score and frankly IMO overrated. also first review:)
