|
Devadasy took a lot of inspiration form NGE, it's almost too apparent. Both take a look at the psychological trauma undergone by the pilots of mysterious mechs. Devadasy's MC is basically Shinji, but with an out of control libido and blood lust. NGE has a better execution, but there is some interesting concepts and imagery in Devadasy.

Same director, similar style. Although True Tears is obviously more fleshed out, True Tours has a similar feeling and atmosphere. Interesting artwork and same use of artistic stills. Two romances with subtlety and unique aesthetic.
