s/v is the first gen I've struggled like this to get into, all the other gens I at least played & finished. I've not totally given up on it yet tho, still hoping I can somehow get into it eventually.

For sure! I grew up during pokemania in the 90's lol, Crystal is probably my all time favourite game, but gens 1-4 are all super special to me. I've played the other gens too just feel like I don't have the same special connection to those! I've been struggling to get into SV.
