This should have “Slice of Life” written on the genres, or create a new genre for this one because this would show would be like a documentary.
I would say this anime is more like a documentary for people who want to become related to anime production.
I am pretty sure the budget for this anime was big because they had too many things going on and doesn’t look like a cheap production at all.
I can feel the effort put in this so i give a high score because of that.

There is not even a backstory for any character. How would you connect/resonate with any character? Literal ... docu series.
It’s just the struggle of a girl developing an anime for 24 minutes each episode and there is 24 episodes... Idk why but it was lifeless to me.
I liked the characters but i can’t love the characters.
If you don’t aspire to be something related to anime production, i don’t have a reason for you to watch this, maybe if it was shorter and you skip most of the episodes.

At this point what is not generic???
This is one of those shows that are simply good because it has funny moments, decent plot, fan service, etc…
If you want to see a light anime for fun, i think this would be a good choice.
I’m not saying this is the best thing in the world but it’s decent!🫡.
I’ll update the review once season 2 comes out. I don’t think it will be good as season 1 tho. We all know how the anime industry have been flopping newer seasons…

The series had way too much filling when they could easily make other characters develop a romance…
The green haired girl seemed interesting, smart, and likeable, the potential was there to keep the rom-com good. What happened? Nobody knows!

Maybe at least we could see green haired girl develop a romance in season 2? NOPE.
You will only see one episode about it and that’s it!!

My recommendation is; watch until episode 4 or 5 you might have a good laugh and get to experience this odd concept. After that just drop it! You won't miss anything, not even at the end! Save your time, time will never comeback.
It is interesting at the beginning because you don't what to expect and there are funny moments.
After 4 episodes it gets bland, there isn't content in this anime, the same joke was used for half of the show, it was fine for me, I would have a little laugh here and then.
The problem is that this anime doesn't have much to provide! The ... story didn't go nowhere, it was almost the same for 12 episodes of 23.4 minutes each!
Basically, after 4 episodes the dynamic was, watch 20 minutes of nonsense to laugh for a minute! I don't know about you guys but that isn't worth for me.
This anime just needed to be very short to be great.

Sound: Good, they must have very good microphones in Japan XD
Art: Not bad, not special, this is just a comedy.
Characters: the characters are fine and funny.
Japan should just make anime movies at this point, they would be trillionaires.

I would call this anime “The show of the fkn stupidest girl alive”.
The idea of this plot/story is good! The pace was also good, but the execution was trash because Aika Miou is so bland and retarded!
In order to be able to finish this anime you have to skip ep 4 because she ruins the execution of the story with her masochist nonsense.
Isn’t making this into a movie more optimal?
Anyways, the ending is beatiful if you take it lightly.
It’s just 5 eps if you skip #4 so now go watch it if you are still thinking about it, maybe you can ... enjoy it if you take this anime lightly.

Too bad Aika ruins some of the ending... Imagine waiting for a man 7 years who you never even fucking kissed. Did she visit him in America? Did he visit her at least once a year? During vacations or Christmas? Did they text or face called each other? Did they have an open relationship where they can fk with other people? Well, how the fk would we know?
Holy Mary the mother of Jesus is not much compared to Miou... Thank god I’m not a 13 years old girl getting influenced by this insect.
As far as we know the guy went to America for 7 years to become a movie director, so he could easily clap as much women as Zac Efron.
Jk here; In this show this guy could easily clap different women, have babies, then go back to Japan to clap Miou and leave her pregnant to then leaver her and return to America with his other bitches.

The bad; FOUR seasons and yet here we are getting fillers and money saving.
The episodes full of dialogue were also cheaply drawn. Not that I really care, just pointing that out, at this point I’m just skipping those parts.
Four seasons and we still have to watch Hestia wanting to eat Bell’s pickle instead of getting into the important stuff...
The good; the fights in the dungeon were cool, the Mikoto special has been amazing. The plot is also interesting but I think this anime will be ruined...
The last episode before the break was actually not bad lol, for now I recommend this anime ... for now but i don't know later, also would still recommend to wait for the anime to finish or at least skip filler like episodes.

People actually need an OLED screen to watch anime, and that's great. Some settings get too dark and you need the best black contrast.
It was a nice ride, this one gets my approval but there is a problem at the end.

You can't be surviving so much shit to not cry on the floor with your people and just make a military greeting... It seemed stupid and lifeless. Can't rate ... a 10 without a good cry...

This show started with steroids, excellent animation and a promising future but turned out to be ...
I had an intuition this was going to be Slice of life so I checked twice the tags before watching it!
No Slice of life tag was added, and the show turned out to be slice of life, fml...
The story is about 4 girls who develop strong friendship bonds throughout their journey, the settings were mostly in rural city and on a ship except for the last episodes. No real insights about the Antarctica or the ship they use to travel to the South Pole.
Pure girly drama that some ... times is overly dramatized or don't make completely sense.
One of the thing that I hated that most was that the show doesn't explain exactly how the mother died and at the end the mother was basically labeled as suicider, because how that's how Gin spoke about her and it was like nothing!
I thought I could recommend this to a little cousin or nephew but I don't how to feel about this anime.

Here is my recommendation before the review; just avoid losing time with ep 11.
What I like about this anime is that it aimed to be a simple romcom, and it delivered.
There was one obvious problem that almost every anime has lately, and a few small ones.
The obvious problem for me was that episode 11 shouldn’t exist, it was a terrible filler that makes us lose time.
Why not just make the anime shorter and have a great anime?
The other problems was that there were some lazy material xD. Also mc was a little too easy on some people,
the girl mc is dressed extra slutty for no ... reason, maybe I’m being naive here but idk, you guys tell me.
Lastly, why was one team named Gelato?
I still think it is a fine anime tho.

To put it in a simple word this is just a: COMMERCIAL anime

Am I the only one mad at this anime!? At first they try to make a psychological thriller - suspense series about orphan kids living in a small zone.
Lil Spoilear ahead; these kids are basically being harvested but they don’t know that because when they are about to disappear the adult makes an excuse. Just with this plot you can make a bomb anime! Instead, this people said fuck this shit and added monsters! While still trying to make it realistically!
Also some things simply ... don’t fit well. After adding weird creatures, the anime proceeded to become like some type of Made in Abyss series with monster and spirits in the forests...
The personality of the mothers don’t really make sense, there isn’t even enough background information and the plot twist was kinda dumb.
For me, clearly whoever did this had no clear objective/aim/goal.
