When you think about Aku no Hana the first thing that comes up is the animation. On a show that does not rely on action scenes the animation isn't such a big minus to the series. If you're going to let that go of course.
Art(9): I read a bit of the manga to compare the design of the characters and to me the adaptation did it better. It portraits more realism with tone-down colors, gruesome, a world that is ugly, seen from the eyes of our protagonist.

Beck,more of a western show.Some of us at one point wanted to play an instrument,we gone out and bought it,try it,fail,and then now sits in a box far away from your eyes to not remind of your failure. Here comes Koyuki,but instead of giving up he struggles and forges a dream.
I do recommend the english dub even though it ruins the imagine of foreigners coming to Japan and sometimes is slightly of track.I do feel its done better by the english cast. I do hate wimpy protagonists sometimes and Koyuki is one of them,but he does compensate.Always finds himself in trouble like he's some "bully bait",this ... |
